Eliza Welsh (Uma Thurman) is a full-time housewife who is about to celebrate her daughter's 6th birthday. Her husband (Anthony Edwards) is constantly busy and not at home. She has two children, Clara (Daisy Tahan) and Lucas (David and Matthew Schallipp). The first thing Eliza does when she wakes up is to take a snapshop of Clara sleeping. Then, her frantic day unravels.

On this day, Eliza wakes Clara up and when they are about to leave for school, they realise they have forgotten Clara's schoolbag at home. Also, Eliza is annoyed that her French posh neighbour (Samantha Bee) sees her in her sleeping gown. Eliza has to dress up and take Clara her schoolbag to school. Later on, Eliza has to take Lucas and her dog out. A pedestrian (Vincent James Russo) tells her off because she hadn't picked the poo up. When she returns home, she has many problems to find an unoccupied parking slot. As the parking officer arrives, she pays some money to a rude punk to go away and let the parking slot nearest to her building free.

Her day from hell is not over. She takes Lucas to the park. There, she talks to Sheila (Minnie Driver), her best friend, who agrees to pick Clara up from school. Sheila and Eliza decide to go shopping, because the latter is so stressed. Sheila tells Eliza some personal events related to sexual matters of her past.

There is a film being recorded on her street, so her car is taken away, and she can't use it as a warehouse to keep Clara's party materials. When Clara goes to pick up the birthday cake, there is a mistake in the spelling of Clara's name. She argues with the bakery shop-attendant (Jenny Kirlin), who insists that only the chef-baker can solve the problem, and he's not there at the moment. Another customer (Carol Commissiong) gets frantic because Eliza is taking too long to leave, and the assistant and fellow customer start bitching about Clara's name, saying it's a kind of spinster-lesbian name.

She has to take everything up to her fourth-floor flat in the liftless building. There, is a messenger who is wating for Eliza's husband to open the door. Makish (Arjun Gupta) feels pity for Eliza's exhausted and stressed-out life, so he helps to take all her stuff to her flat. They start to talk, and they dance to some music. Eliza sees herself in that ambitious young man who is waiting for his big break into writing plays with an Indian domestic atmosphere, as he describes them.

Sheila gets frantic when she discovers Eliza has told about what she had told her in confidence, and has written it all out in her blog for everybody to see. Anyway, although she's mad at her, Sheila goes to pick Clara up from school.

Eliza keeps on organizing the party. She also tries to finish a 500-word motherhood-themed article for a magazine. She wants to win the contest, to have this article published and return to work outside of home. Suddenly, she feels she can't cope anymore, and leaves the city for New Jersey. She doesn't answer the phone when her husband calls her. When Eliza finally picks it up, she's in time to tell him what to do when Lucas swallows a toy car. Eliza makes a crazy highway turn and goes back home.

Ancient Rome and, more specifically, Roman gladiators have always made interesting subject matter for various mediums of entertainment. Throughout the years, numerous films, including the Academy Award-winning classics Ben Hur and Gladiator, featured some of the most epic gladiatorial action sequences every created and made heroes out of these enslaved Roman warriors.

Strangely enough, however, there haven't been many good action games to feature Roman gladiators in any really serious capacity. Recently, this has all come to change, thanks to Acclaim's Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance, an action adventure game rooted deeply in a style that combines Ridley Scott's Gladiator with some of the more mythical aspects of Roman history.

Gladiator does have some shortcomings, as its simplistic and frequently flawed gameplay can prove to be problematic. However, some excellent production values and an intriguing plot ultimately make the game most certainly worth checking out.

Assassin’s Creed: Lineage is the story of Eizo (Main Character in Assassin’s Creed 2) & his father – Giovanni Auditore da Firenze. Is Giovanni an assassin ? How did he die and Why does Eizo become an assassin ? All answers will be explained .

Assassin's Creed Lineage fills in the back story of ACII by focusing on the exploits of Ezio's father, Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, a master Assassin. Ezio makes a short cameo in the first segment, but he is young and naive, and not yet an important player in the saga. The most noticeable element of the short is how eerily similar everything is to the game. That's because the environments were rendered directly from the Anvil Engine, the same engine used in both Assassin's Creed games. Ubisoft also cast the same actors in the film that were digitally interpreted for the videogame and inserted using a green screen. The result is a world that looks extremely similar to the the game but is strangely realistic. It's often difficult to distinguish which elements are computer generated and which items might actually exist.

Plot summary

Marcus Reed is a gang member who inherited his incarcerated father's criminal empire in New York City. Several years later, Reed is betrayed by a friend and assumed dead after an ambush. Covered in blood and injured, Reed shows up unexpectedly at the traitor's house to exact revenge. After a bloody, running gunfight with gang members, Reed corners the betrayer in a building basement and guns him down. Dropping his empty Uzi, Reed is almost shot and killed by another gang member, but an NYPD detective named Terry Higgins saves him.

Isaiah Reed (Marcus' father) and Higgins have been friends for a long time. Higgins tells Reed he should be ashamed of the level he's sunk to. Although Reed willingly offers to allow Higgins to arrest him, Higgins refuses. He says he's going to cover up Reed's involvement in the shoot-out, but this will be his final chance to clean up his act before he's left to the mercy of the NYPD. Reed agrees, and shuffles off to tend to his injuries. As he does so, Higgins sighs and says, "Merry Christmas."

Five years later, Marcus Reed is now an officer of the NYPD, having worked the beat for four years to become one of the precinct's best street cops with Higgins' mentoring and guidance. At the urging of Higgins, he applies to test for his detective's badge and a transfer to the Organized Crime Unit. After passing the test with flying colors, the head detective does not believe he is ready so Terry takes Reed out for a few basics, afterwards Reed and Higgins go to visit Reed's father in jail. The visit is cut short by a phone call to Higgins. A contact for a case he's working on has called a meeting in another part of town. Marcus Reed and Higgins hurry to the contact point. Before getting out of the car, Higgins instructs Reed to come in guns blazing if he's gone for too long. As Higgins walks into the building with a briefcase, Reed leans over to pick up some of Higgins' cigarettes that have fallen out of the glove box, and suddenly, a massive explosion sends the unmarked squad car flying through the air.

Back at the precinct, Reed is informed Higgins was killed in the explosion. Reed is denied a place in the OCU, for now. Marcus is then informed he will be going back out on the street as a plainclothes cop while the department investigates Higgins' murder. As Reed resumes his duties, he is contacted by FBI agent Gabriel Whitting, who requests a meeting in a parking garage downtown. Whitting informs Reed a member of the OCU is a mole and likely organized Higgins' death. Whitting does not know who but does know the mole was working with four major crime syndicates: the Magdalena Cartel, the President's Club, the Palermo Mob, and the Shadow Tong. Whitting wants Reed to investigate these four crime groups to track down Higgins' killer. After being given a folder with information on the Magdalena Cartel, Reed sets off on his mission of revenge.
